Only one hospital broadcasting service in India has been identified. . 

  1. Kollam 

1.1 Radio Benziger (2010)

Radio Benziger started broadcasting at the Bishop Benziger Hospital on 7 November 2010.

The service was established by the Bishop Benziger Hospital Society. “This is the very first hospital based radio in India”.

“When opportunities became open for the private sector to start radio stations, Bishop Benziger hospital found a long awaited opportunity to fill in a lacuna i.e. a communication component in its development projects. Hence community radio became complementary in the efforts of Bishop Benziger Hospital”. 

“Objective: Community Building”.

The service was broadcasting 15 hours a day on FM 107.8 and had a range of 20 km.
